GROUP STRENGTH TRAINING: THIS 60 MINUTE BARBELL PROGRAMME STRENGTHENS ALL YOUR MAJOR MUSCLES IN AN INSPIRING, MOTIVATING GROUP ENVIRONMENT WITH FANTASTIC MUSIC. WITH SIMPLE ATHLETIC MOVEMENTS SUCH AS SQUATS, LUNGES, PRESSES AND CURLS, THIS CLASS IS APPROPRIATE FOR ALL AGES AND FITNESS LEVELS.
KARATE: (NORTH COAST SHUDOKAN, TRADITIONAL OKINAWAN-JAPANESE KARATE) THROUGH THE KATA (PRE-ARRANGED FORMS) AND THE BASIC TECHNIQUES OF KARATE, WE DEVELOP OUR SELF-DEFENSE SKILLS, OUR PHYSICAL FITNESS, OUR BALANCE AND OUR ABILITY TO FOCUS. WORKING INDIVIDUALLY, AS A GROUP OR IN PARTNER DRILLS EACH STUDENT COMES TO UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY ARE WEAK AND WHERE THEY ARE STRONG AND IN DOING SO UNDERSTAND THE DEEP COMMITMENT NEEDED TO DEVELOP THEIR ABILITIES AS A KARATE-KA. THIS CLASS IS NOT TAUGHT AS A SPORT AND FREE SPARRING IS NOT ALLOWED, WE TEACH KARATE AS A MARTIAL ART AND AS SUCH WHATEVER COMPETITION YOU MAY LOOK FOR IS WITHIN YOURSELF AND YOURSELF ALONE. ALL CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY SENSEI MATT GOUIG, NIDAN (2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT).
UP THE ANTE: GET STRONGER!: WORKING TO FATIGUE = INCREASED STRENGTH. YOUR PERSONAL GOAL: GET YOURSELF TO THE POINT OF FATIGUE EVERY TIME WITH THIS VIGOROUS WORKOUT. WORKING WITH FREE WEIGHTS, RESISTIVE BANDS, AMT WORK, CORE STRENGTHENING AND BALL.
ZUMBA® : THIS IS A WORLD-DANCE INSPIRED FITNESS CLASS WHICH INCORPORATES INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE MOVEMENTS WHICH CREATES A DYNAMIC, EXCITING AND EFFECTIVE FITNESS SYSTEM! DANCERS AND NON-DANCERS ALIKE IMMEDIATELY AND EASILY MASTER A ZUMBA CLASS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DANCE TO SUCCEED AT ZUMBA.
