    Aquatics Department Information
    Pool and Spa Pool Information

    The Club Pool is a 25-yard multi - use facility, which is kept at 84 degrees.
    The Spa Pool is kept at 104 degrees.

    Pool and spa pool hours:
    Monday through Friday: 5am to 9:30pm
    Saturday: 7am to 7:30pm
    Sunday: 8am to 7:30pm

    People under 14 years old
    Club, Pool and Spa Pool hours:
    Monday through Friday: 2pm to 8pm
    Saturday: Noon to 6pm
    Sunday: Noon to 6pm
    Sunday Lifeguard 2 m to 6pm

    Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 5:30 to 6:30 the pool is reserved for the Fitness Swimming Program

    No Diving

    No Lifeguard on Duty Unless Specified-

    Shower is Required - Just prior to entering the pool or spa pool, a hot soapy shower is required for all patrons.

    Clean proper attire must be worn in the pool and spa pool.

    Under 14 years and those not trained as junior members must be under the direct supervision of an adult at all time.

    Under 3 years - Pool diapers must be worn

    Under 6 months - No one under this age will be allowed in the pool or spa pool. Consult your physician before taking children into the spa pool.

    Lifeguard on Duty Hours- Children 6 years and up, who pass a swim test, are permitted to swim with lifeguard supervision. Parents must remain on the Club premises.

    Inflatable flotation devices are not allowed - which includes water wings.

    Read and Observe the posted Rule Boards for additional information before entering the water.

    Aquatics Department Offerings
    Lap Lanes:
    are numbered starting from north to south, and are used as follows:
    Lanes #1 and #2 - medium swimmers
    Lane #3 fast swimmers
    Lanes #4 and #5 slow swimmers, children and water exercisers.

    All Lanes are shared.

    A circular pattern is used for more than 2 swimmers in a lane.
    Portions of the pool are used for classes, though every effort is used to always keep a lane available for lap swimming.
    Please be courteous and use etiquette when using the pool.

    Fitness Swim: Workouts: M, W, & F 5:30 - 6:30pm
    During this program the pool is reserved.
    The program focuses on good technique at slow speed. Endurance will come with practicing the technique. Fitness will come by combining your new technique with your new endurance. Speed will come with fitness and technique. The program provides on deck coaching with posted workouts for fitness and for competitive level swimmers. U.S. Masters Swimming memberships are also available.

    Youth Swim Team: -Workouts: M, W, & F 6:30 - 7:30pm
    Mendocino Coast Sea Loins is for people 9 - IS yr. old.
    The program focuses on swimming as a form of exercise. Competition is an option to all team members. All team members are members in U.S.A. Swimming. Acceptance in the program is with coach's approval

    Swim Lessons:
    Swim Lessons are offered all year round. All lessons and instructors are American Red Cross certified. Group, individual, and private group lessons are available. The ratios of participants to instructors are kept low in group swim lessons. Schedule and registration is available at the Front Desk.

    Private/ semi private instruction for all levels of skill is available with the instructor of your choice. Leave your name and telephone number at the Front Desk and the Aquatics Director will contact you.

    Aqua Aerobic Classes: M, W, F 11 -noon T&Th 7:30 - 8:30 am
    Aqua aerobic classes provide a cardio- vascular workout and strength training workout with the use of equipment. Our instructors provide fun, motivating and safe classes. You don't have to get your hair wet or know how to swim! For an introduction to the classes arrive a few minutes early and talk to the instructor or call the Aquatics Director - Kathy for more information.

    Water Exercise for Arthritis T&Th II: 15 - noon
    This class has the Arthritis Foundation seal of approval. The class format involves safe movement with specific exercises. The class is designed for anyone looking for light workout, anyone recovering from illness or injury and seniors.

    Personal Pool Training
    If you can't fit group exercise into your schedule but want to do water exercise and need some guidance & motivation, then Presonal Pool Training may be your answer. We have trainers for you.

    We have two pools available for rentals - RHC's indoor and MTC's outdoor. Contact the Aquatics Director for details.
