Classes are limited to 8 participants. Please sign up at the front desk before attending classes.
Members may sign up two weeks in advance. Non members may sign up 24 hours in advance.

Participants must complete an Introduction to Pilates Reformer Class before attending a Level 1 Reformer Class.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

REFORMER PILATES: WITH AN EMPHASIS ON BREATH, CORE CONDITIONING AND BODY AWARENESS, PILATES IS A SAFE AND HIGHLY EFFECTIVE WAY TO STRETCH, STRENGTHEN AND STREAMLINE YOUR BODY WITHOUT BUILDING BULK OR STRESSING YOUR JOINTS. PILATES CAN BE PERFORMED ON A MAT OR REFORMER AND IS A PERFECT COMPLEMENT TO CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE.

STRETCH OUT!: A TOTAL BODY STRETCH EXPERIENCE USING PROPER ALIGNMENT. WORK SAFELY AND DEEPLY. LEARN HOW TO STRETCH TOWARDS BETTER BODY SYMMETRY.

BEGINNING YOGA: THIS CLASS IS AN INTRODUCTION TO BASIC YOGA, ASANAS AND BREATH. IT IS DESIGNED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO YOGA EXPERIENCE, OR VERY LITTLE, OR MORE EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS WHO ARE WILLING TO COME WITH A BEGINNER’S MIND.

YOGA: GUIDANCE THROUGH YOGA POSES FOCUSING ON DEVELOPING AN AWARENESS THAT RESIDES IN THE INNER BODY. REAWAKENING THE INTELLIGENCE OF THE INNER BODY HELPS TO RELAX AND FREE MUSCLES THAT ARE TIGHTLY BOUND. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE PRACTICE OF YOGA WILL STRENGTHEN AND TONE THE WHOLE BODY. PLEASE WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING. STYLES VARY DEPENDING ON INSTRUCTOR, AND IT IS BEST TO SPEAK WITH THE INSTRUCTOR REGARDING THE STYLE OF YOGA TAUGHT IN THEIR CLASS.

LATIN FUSION DANCE WORKOUT: A CHALLENGING AND AEROBIC DANCE WORKOUT TO LATIN AND AFRICAN MUSIC; WITH STRETCHING AND YOGA. PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE HELPFUL BUT NOT NECESSARY!
